Athlete’s Choice Awards — Last Call to Vote. Don’t Sit This One Out!

Athlete’s Choice Awards voting is open, and you only have until Wednesday to cast your votes.

This is your chance to recognize the people who make this gym what it is. The ones who show up early, cheer loud, grind through workouts, and make classes better just by being there. Members. Coaches. The people who push you, support you, and make you laugh when workouts hurt.

Take a few minutes to scroll through the categories and think about who stands out to you this year. Who brings the energy. Who leads by example. Who makes CFLKW feel like more than a place to work out.

You don’t need to vote in every category. If someone doesn’t come to mind, skip it. At the very least, make sure you vote for your coaches. They pour a lot into this community, and this is one way you can give back.

Voting closes Wednesday, December 31.

Have a voice in this.
Make it count.

Your vote matters even if you can’t make it to the anniversary party. These awards celebrate the people who help shape this community and make every class better. Who stood out to you this year? Who pushed you? Who made you laugh? Who made training feel like the best part of your day?

CrossFit Lake Wylie’s 12th Anniversary Party – Saturday, January 10 @ 6 pm

Two Weeks Out. Don’t Miss Our Biggest Night of the Year!

We are officially two weeks away from the CrossFit Lake Wylie 12th Anniversary Party, and the countdown is real.

Saturday, January 10 at 6 pm, we come together to celebrate the work you put in all year and the community we’ve built side by side. This is the biggest event we host, and it only happens once a year.

So far, 63 people have already RSVP’d.

If you’re on the fence, hear this. Don’t be the one who sees the photos later and wishes you had come.

You have until THIS Wednesday to RSVP so we can give our caterer a final headcount. Every person attending needs a ticket so we can plan food and seating correctly. Spouses and kids are welcome, with free tickets available for kids under 10.

This year’s stakes are high.

The grand prize raffle is $400 cash, and you must be present to win. We’ll also be drawing the winner of the Committed Club Grand Prize. If you made Committed Club for 10 months between January and December, you’re entered to win a FREE two-month membership, a $386 value. That’s consistency paying you back.

Most gyms don’t do nights like this. We do because this community matters. Showing up matters. Celebrating together matters.

The party is in two weeks!

Nutrition & Wellness 🥑🧘🏽‍♀️🛌

CrossFit’s stance on nutrition: Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch, and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat.

Reflect on 2025. Build a Stronger Start to 2026.

This is the final Nutrition & Wellness article for 2025.

Before the year closes, take a moment to reflect. Think about the choices you made around food, sleep, and recovery. Think about how you handled busy weeks, stressful seasons, and weekends that didn’t go as planned. Then look at where those choices led you. More energy or more fatigue. Better recovery or lingering soreness. Confidence in your routine or constant frustration.

This isn’t about judging yourself. It’s about awareness. Awareness shows you what worked, what didn’t, and what you want to change.

As 2026 approaches, remember this. You don’t need a perfect year. You need a strong start. The first few months set the tone. Habits form. Routines settle in. Momentum builds from small choices done consistently, not from extremes.

That’s why we’re kicking off the Fuel For Life Nutrition Challenge on January 5. This isn’t a reset or a restrictive plan. It’s support. You’ll get structure when life feels chaotic, guidance when you feel stuck, and accountability when motivation dips. The goal is progress you can sustain, not rules you can’t keep.

Ask yourself where you could be by April if you committed to the next 90 days. Ask yourself what might change if food felt simpler and your energy felt more steady. If 2025 taught you anything, use it to set up 2026 in a better place.

Fuel For Life starts January 5. Give yourself the first three months of the year with solid habits and real support.

Tell Me About CrossFit 📚👩🏻‍🏫

CrossFit is constantly varied, functional movement executed at high intensity.

CrossFit Works When You Show Up

Not perfectly. Not every day. Just more often than not.

As we close out the year, take a second to reflect on your attendance. How often did you walk through the door? How many months did you hit Committed Club, which is 16 workouts or check-ins in a month? Did you string together consistency, or did life keep pulling you away?

Showing up more changes everything.

You get better results because your body adapts. Strength builds. Conditioning improves. Movements feel less foreign. You stop starting over.

You also build stronger connections. You recognize faces. You learn names. You share workouts, laughs, and hard moments. That’s the community piece people talk about. It comes from repetition and shared effort.

There’s another benefit people often overlook. The more you show up, the more variety you experience. Different lifts. Different skills. Different time domains. Over time, that variety shapes you into a more well-rounded athlete. Not just strong. Not just fit. Capable across the board.

That’s CrossFit.

As you head into the new year, ask yourself a simple question. What would change if you committed to showing up more often? What would improve if Committed Club became your baseline instead of a stretch goal?

Your results. Your confidence. Your connection to this place.

It all starts with showing up.

Saturday: Something fun!

No single workout can develop all aspects of fitness and training different time domains helps develop different metabolic pathways. That’s why CrossFit workouts vary daily.

Effectively harnessing elements of variance is key to developing a broad fitness. Therefore, keep showing up so you can be the best and fittest version of yourself! 😎
